I'm really stoked for this show. Not just for Sarah Michelle Gellar's return to TV (I still remember watching Buffy every week at my friend's house) but I'm so glad that Kris Poloha got a new show right after Life Unexpected. Ioan Gruffold and Nestor Carbonell are just bonuses. Though I admit, based on the previews, I'm kind of curious as to how the show will work on a long term scale.
It's also interesting to see the CW trying to get a mix of programming. Nikita, Ringer and Hart of Dixie are all geared at an older 20s audience (my age) and while I still like the younger shows, I'm kind of happy to get stories about people who are figuring out careers not 3rd period.

I have to admit, even with the stellar casting, I'm not all that interested in this show. I think it's because the premise seems like a more adult version of ABCFamily's The Lying Game to me, and I haven't even gotten around to watching that yet, though I read the first book. The concepts are very, very similar though.

Hmm, I haven't read (or watched) The Lying Game but I do agree that there's been an influx of twin mystery shows lately. I'm more excited about the cast than the actual story line. The plot itself seems like a very good movie. I'm honestly at a loss as to where the show's going to go to keep a series story let alone a season long plot (and apparently critics have the same worries about the show). Still, the cast is full of some of my favorite people so at the very least, I'll watch for a while to see how it works out. I certainly hope it goes the direction of The Vampire Diaries, a little shaky but soon solid and not Nikita which I think is improving but has still had trouble figuring out what type of show they want to be.

I like the cast for this but I'm the promos haven't drawn me in. I think it just seems to have rather a clinical, inpersonal edge to it that's been putting me off. Of course promos often promote one aspect of a series and miss out whole other parts. I think you need to watch a few episodes before you decide though.
Can't ijmagine when this will hit NZ though so I should avoid this thread once the show starts and just hope I don't get the whole series spoiled if it ever does air here.

I completely agree. I always give dramas 3-6 episodes (depending on the size of the cast) to really find their footing. And there has to be more to the story with Ringer since what seems like it would be a huge secret is given away in the promos.

This show is really good, even though I haven't seen all of the first episode yet
