I set a goal to read 100 books this year (21 down!) so I definitely need some help finding enough to read. I've been reading a lot of YA lately (because they're shorter and quicker) and my current mood kind of leans toward chick lit books. They don't have to be shellow but I'm just not in the mood for heavy (watching the news is intense enough at the moment) You can check out my goodreads for an idea of what I like: www.goodreads.com/user/show/4014695-kat17Thanks

I recently discovered Sarah Addison Allen who I really like. Her books tend to put me in a good mood. I think she's written 3 so far: Garden Spells, The Sugar Queen, and the Girl Who Chased the Moon. I just read The Book of Tomorrow by Cecilia Ahearn which was pretty good. If you haven't read Something Borrowed by Emily Griffin, the movie is coming out soon. Not a lot of people know Kate Saunders but she's a pretty good author too. Her books are Bachelor Boys and The Marrying Game. Then of course there are the usual chick lit authors who tend to be fairly reliable for a fun read: Sophie Kinsella, Marion Keyes, Harriet Evans, etc

I'll call in tomorrow and get some. They have The Book of Tomorrow but it's out. They don't have Something Borrowed. I think I might have checked once before. Is Night Shall Overtake us also by Kate Saunders? A neighboring library has that. I've got the other authors on a to read list. They're just quite popular and always out when I check. Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm not sure about "Night Shall Overtake Us". If it is, I haven't read that one!

I wish I had some recommendations for you, but I've been reading things that lead toward the heavier end of YA lately.
I do know that Maureen Johnson's sequel to 13 Little Blue Envelopes is released this year though, and people who have read advanced copies of the book have said it's even better than the first one. Her books, even when they're heavier, have a good sense of humor to them.
